Creativity Flows...

One of the things I love about being a makeup artist is how I get to express myself through my work. Recently i had 2 photoshoots (2 days aprt) and the photographers & the models really did gave me my freedom to let the creative mind flow.

Honestly I am hesitant to show this on my blog, since I keep other online portfolio like MM, Carbonmade and My FB Fan Page. I have tweeted pictures of some of these, and my tweeter friend Kay of @babeedoll89  were chatting about posting and sharing these here too. Hmm..why not! As long as I don't get you bored right?

Sunday shoot is a meet-up of LA and OC Fashion Photographers.

FOTD: Yes dear Violet, she smokes...

Yesterday morning seems to be a gloomy one for July. I have a photoshoot scheduled in the afternoon and I made it a habit to always have my own makeup done--or at least a well made-up set of eyes--  before heading to the shoot.

me and my cute goofy nephew, he is 3 years old and whenever somebody asks him what is his Auntie is doing he will say "makeup". LOL.

I'm wearing MAC Studio Fix Powder + Foundation and used MAC MSF in Dark for contour, underye concealed using MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW25 before powder foundation.

For my eyebrows I brushed in WnW Lip Pencil in Berry Red and filled in with Maybelline Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown -. (It's okay, the red lip pencil did not complained at all, LOL)

After applying UDPP all-over my eyelid, I used Milani Color Brilliance Eye Pencil
in Purple as base color.  I used the 2 middle colors of the WnW Lust Palette, the matte
warm violet one on my lid and lower lashline, and the shimmery dark steel gray on my crease.
Eyes tightlined with Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner , and made a winged line
using Milani Eyetech Liquid Eye Liner.. Lashes curled and brushes
with MAC Zoomlash Mascara I also used Select Lash 747s.
Cheeks are happy with Smashbox Trio blush in Close-up.
I lined my lips with NYX Lip Pencil in Fushcia
and dabbed with Sally Hansen Lip Inflation clear gloss.

Do you like it? ;) Hope you do!

FOTD: Very Light & MAC Haul

Today I woke up early. I do not know where the energy is coming from but I am glad that I am not forcing myself to get outta bed. I hope for it to happen again.

I can soo feel summer here in Cali. It's beautiful outside. I have a lot in my To-Do List and I plan to finish them all. Yeba! So I made this very light so I do not have to retouch eyeliners. ;) I eyes tend to water when sun hits them directly. Its so simple and so wearable.

I used Inglot eyeshadows #362, #397, #419 over UDPP, lined with MAC Blacktrack fluidline, eyelashes curled then 2 coats of MAC Zoomlash.
I have mix of MAC Tippy & Gleeful on my cheeks, lined my lips with
NYX Lip Pencil in Mauve then painted with MAC Spiceflower.

and i happen to play with my pics (pic below)

We also went to the mall today to have my ring resized.  I tried hard to avoid Mac, but I heard he called me. I swear, LOL. So knowing myself, I gave in. Here's what I got.

Some are for my kit and some are for me.
I am lucky to be in Cali and work as MUA and get my discount on almost every brand, but one problem is getting the money to spend on makeup that I just WANT.
Hmmm... I might have to stick to my NEED List next time...
Hey I deserve this, right?  LOL.

More Crack..... - China Glaze Crackle Set

Hi beauties! ;) Hope you are all had a good tuesday.
I know almost everybody here have this already and I am late. ;(
Please do hear my story below. :)
i love safe packagings ;)

This box was waiting for me at work today. I am very excited to see the set of China Glaze Crackle Polish hubby ordered for me from Amazon last saturday morning. I did a melodrama on how this trend almost passed me because I am so concentrated on building my freelance kit that I stopped buying nail polish and that I am being left-out and so on. It works! Try it. Lol.

Here's what I got:

Top Row: Crushed Candy, Fault Line, Broken Hearted
Bottom Row: Lightning Bolt, Cracked Concrete, Black Mesh

I cannot wait to test them out. My friend Roxy handed these to me and suggested I take my current polish off immediately and put all of these on, like NOW.  I love that girlie dork. LOL
(Roxy, yes that's you.. YOU are mentioned here).

China Glaze have another collection of crackle
named Crackle Metals... oohh love that metallic finish.

Is husband getting a hint? I hope so.

If ever you cannot get hold of this product, you may wanna try it's older sister Milani Runway Eyes in 10 Haute Couture palette, almost the same colors but this one's finish is shimmery and can be used wet or dry. Check it out here.

I can say I am lucky enough to know and get acquainted with the company's great PR Samantha & with the Product Development Manager Ericka. They were the ones who introduced me to the brand last year and since then I'm hooked. So let me pass this on to you and I know you'll be hooked too!

A FOTD soon? Yeah boy! :)

NOTW: Shattered B&W

Heya Dolls, it's nail time! :) I have a routine of doing my nails on one of my days off. I only tend to do it some other day if I have work (which is unlikely on a Sunday) or a make-up gig or photoshoot (which is most likely). Anyhoo, here is what i will be rockin this week:

So simple but makes statement, eh?
White base color reminds me of "SnowFake" of the 90s,  a liquid type white-out.

Here's what is used:
KleanColor in White, OPI Shatter in Black Shatter, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Topcoat
and ELF Nourishing Cuticle Pen.

I used to do a lot of nail art, from konads to freehand nail painting to even doing my own acrylics.
I wish to fall in love again with nail art soon. ;)

What's on your nails today?

Leading Lady -Rose-berry with pink & gold sparkles

The two that I do not have is Movie Star  and Stylish . If any of u dolls have then I would love to see how they look! ;)

Swatcharoos below:

Honestly, I am not a big fan of lip glosses. Yes i use them when I need them but do not tend to reach for them all the time. I am picky with my glosses, it has to have good amount pigment on them,it has to be sparkly and does not need to exert an annoying taste/smell.

What I love about this product is the sparkles and the scent. The sparkles really does give an illusion of fuller lips.  It smells like a fruit, and doesn't have any weird fruity taste on them.  Pigment wise, I can say it's rightfully pigmented - what you see in the tube is what you really get.

My fave combos:
You can wear them alone or on top of your fave lippie.
-Fashion Diva on top of Milani Lip Flash in Flashy and/or Starflash.
-Designer Label on top of MAC Blankety

You can get these glosses and other fab Milani products at your local Target and drugstores, or check their website.

Are you ready to get Glossified? :)
