NOTW: Disco Ball Nails

I'm feeling kinda blue because of the weather, and I feel like I should go out clubbing this weekend. Emotions like these have results, and here it what it is:

I used my oldie Claire's nail polish in Quicksand as a base. It's my fave black polish with tiny glitters on it. Then I used Milani Jewel FX in 530 Gems.

I used 2 coats of Claire's, and 2 coats of Milani Jewel FX. With the latter you can go away with one coat, but I decide to go for two since i want a supah shiny glittery disco mirror ball look.Hahaha.

So, what a weird fun set of nails to wear at Thanksgiving Dinner tomorrow. LOL.

I Love Zuca Pro Artist Collection

Holla Chicas!

Many of you know how i soo love my ZÜCA Artist backpack. It frees my hand as I walk and it goes well with my converse sneakers. LOL. Last Saturday, my Zuca Pro Artist Case came. If you follow me on twitter you can tell how happy am when I finally got them in my hands!

I got the ZÜCA Pro Artist Case in Black/Black. This is so ideal for me, and compliments my backpack so well (or should it be the other way around?). It came with four Large Utility Pouches and one Small Utility Pouch (the same ones on the backpack). I also got the nylon travel cover, which is handy in case in check-in this cute sexy guy.
I chose this one instead of the Sport Artist. Mainly because this have one set of wheels and is FAA-approves as carry-on, plus I get another small pouch for my hair kit and a travel cover!

This is the link to the ZUCA website where you can get yours. ;) They offer so many options and colors but I just love how black/black looks so professional and neat.

I cannot wait to show pictures on how I will fill them and pack them in. I have not have time to do it but will surely post soon!

Oh man, they look so happy together! They make a great couple! ;)

NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette

Last weekend's ultimate goal: Get the Nars Cheeks Palette.
Goal Achieved: YES.

I'm so happy I got this, and not being able to spend money on it too.  I got 2 Sephora Gift Cards for my birthday last May and I waited because I know there will be limited-edition goodies that they will be releasing especially near holiday season. I try to save money and get most of my personal and work MU from stores where I have my pro discount, so lately I have not been shopping at Sephora.

I love having everything in palettes. When I was starting, it is fun to see how many makeup you have, but then as my back began to complain from carrying all of them, I got wiser and got addicted in palettes! For my personal MU, I still prefer single containers so I can bring them with me for all-day retouches.

This set have six blush and bronzer colors in 0.12oz:
Hungry Heart (gold ivory)
Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter)
Desire (cotton candy pink)
Casino (dark brown with gold shimmer)
Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer)
Sin (berry with gold shimmer)

Swatches are done on bare skin on the back of my hand.  I tried do take more pictures but then then the battery of hubby's DSLR died ;(

I think this is an amazing deal, did you get yours already? :)

M.A.C. Pro Master Class Bridal Beauty with John Stapleton

Last Sunday, November 6th, I attended one of M.A.C. Pro's Master Classes. This one is Bridal Beauty with Senior Artist John Stapleton. It was held at Los Cerritos Shopping Center and run from 8pm-10pm.

I am very much interested in this class since it would be a good refresher for me, plus I get to see and learn the techniques a Senior M.A.C. artist uses to create magic on brides. John have worked in NY/LA/London Fashion Week, have done makeup for numerous celebrities, magazines, ads and much more. John's lecture and demo went on very smoothly and really educational. All questions from the participants were answered and given good explanation. He is down-to-earth you wouldn't be shy about asking questions.I really learned a lot.

After the class, I took the chance to introduce myself. We only had a short chat, since it was almost 11pm. And yes, we took pictures. Nobody was available that time (they're all busy shopping their bridal kit must-haves) so we took the honor of taking pics of ourselves.

here it is:

It was great meeting him. He and his work is such a wonderful inspiration. :)

Halloween Day: Dress-up and Make-up

I love October 31st for two main reasons:
1. Hubby and I are celebrating our 13th year together, and
2. I get to dress-up at work.

As many of you may know, I keep a normal full-time job, it keeps me sane. ;) My BFFs at work decide we dress up, and this is what I was:

A Half Desert Dolly /Half Zombie Army

Here's me with besties Cindy and Devin at work:

My husband dressed up for his work too! ;) I made him a crazy skull face paint.

Makeup Used:
Ben Nye Fx Wheel in Master Bruise
Ben Nye Fx Wheel in Burns and Blisters
Sugarpill Tako,Midori and Bulletproof
MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo and Red She Said

Ben Nye Creme Base in White
Ben Nye Magicake Palette (white and black)

Halloween maybe over, BUT it doesn't mean I'll stop. <3

NOTW: Glitter seen under a Fault Line

What's up Mamas?! I feel like I haven't posted a NOTW in ages.. Gosh..

I used Wet n Wild Fast Dry Nail Color in 234C Hannah Pinktana and China Glaze Crackle in Fault Line. It is my first time using the WnW Hannah Pinktana and I can say it is very deceiving. The glitz and the color in the bottle will take you 5 coats to achieve, but thank goodnes it is fast-drying. I was to wear it alone but decided to add a crackle polish since it look blah.

Dunno why this one is rotated this way when uploaded?? ;(

So from BLAH to VOILA! ;)

The Evil loves Evil Doll

The story continues....

After the Kandy Halloween Party at Playboy Mansion, I did not get back home until 5am the next day Saturday. I needed much SLEEP and SNORE, I am just glad husband let me do it to recover. Waking up 9 hours later, Im up on my feet and ready to do Zombies. My client and his wife came in at 4pm and I zombified them. LOL. I will be posting another entry that includes some of the SPFX I did the Halloween weekend.

At night, we met with out friends at Hooter's at The Pike in Long Beach. I love that location, it feels very homey and that the staff are really nice. I went in as Evil Doll and Hubby as the Evil. Here are our pictures:

I did not cover my eyebrows, less work for me.

my pink up-crooked inner brows

For my makeup I used Sugarpill's Love+ and Poison Plum from the Burning Heart palette, and Dollipop and Tako from the Sweetheart palette.  Love+,Poison Plum and Tako goes to my eyes, and Dollipop to my eyebrows and cheeks. Hubby used Bulletproof. I just wore a dress my momma gave me, it has a cute bow in the front. And here is the gang with our dedicated Hooter girl:

How did your Halloween Weekend go?

Kandy Halloween Party at Playboy Mansion

Hi Ladies!

Lucky me I was able to work and attend the Annual Kandy Halloween at Playboy Mansion. It was a two-night event (Oct.28-29) and I chose only to attend Friday night since I knew I will be so sore and tired for working and then partying. LOL.

I had the opportunity to do makeup for the Body Painted Models again. It was my second time doing makeup for these models. My first was the Playboy Kandyland Party in June. I have posted a lot pictures in my Facebook so please go check them out there too and leave me a comment. ;) I chose not to post some of the pictures here because they are really wearing nothing but body paint. As in NADAH but body paint.

Her bodypaint costume: Hef's Red Robe
One of the Go-go Dancers I did MU on. And yes, she is dressed. ;)

One of the body painted models.

My teammates and I were there at 10am and was done by around 8pm. We did all the magic in the basement gymn, where they always do the body painting. It was fun working there and definitely more in partying. ;) Food, drinks and shuttle ride all covered. What more can I ask for?

For my costume, I decided to just be the devil myself (haha) since I would not have time to prepare my costume and makeup in the daytime as I work.

Me and Michelle, a fellow MUA.
Team Founder and Celebrity Hairstylist Olga Loera doing my hair. ;)

TEAM INDULGE: Great team of Mua, Hair and SPFX.
Did I see Hef? Yes, on his Cabana surrounded by pretty girls and the media.

Please do not forget to check out my Facebook Page, the pictures are all there. I do not feel right posting nudes in here, at least in FB, the models are aware cause they are my FB friends too. ;)

Where was I?

Hi Fellas! ;) I apologize for being MIA the Halloween Season. I was out and about. Within the last three weeks of October. I got sick, someone in family is sick, and I have to recover quickly for the makeup gigs I have to do. I was missing in Twitter world, #bbeautychat, Beautylish and MakeupBee too.

I would love to say thanks to those lovely ladies who remembered me when I was missing. I really appreciate all the prayers and those kind words which helped me out through tough times. I cannot say the road I am in now is smooth, but can definitely say it is BETTER.

I have blog posts coming out, a lot of them. I will try my best to stay on track. Love me still, OK? ;)
