7th Annual Kandyland Party and Team Indulge

Hi there!

This past weekend had been so crazy busy for me! I had the 7th Annual Kandyland Party to work on and IMATS-LA 2012 to attend! Whew!

The 7th Annual Kandyland Party was held at the famous La Belvedere Mansin a.k.a. Kandy Mansion. It's an $80M mansion in Bel-Air, and they turned it all pretty kandy pink for the party. This event is one of Karma Foundation's number of events they created. For more info click HERE.

I am a MUA for Team Indulge.

Team Indulge by Olga Loera is a group of celebrity make up artists and hairstylists that perform at high-end, fast-paced fashion shows, movie and commercial sets and fundraising events. We are the exclusive team for the Karma Foundation at Playboy mansion events, "Beauty Lounge" and VIP Room for Karma Models and Members.

The theme for the party is Kandy Barbie. So makeup and hair have to be Barbie-like, and so as our outfits for the night of the event. We all wear black during work, then awesome outfits later on.

Here are some pictures I can share here on my blog:

Gotta learn more! Assisting in Makeup for TV Commerical

Hello! :) I am blessed to be able to assist a fellow Makeup Artist Michelle Arcilla last Sunday morning for a TV commercial. She is a good friend of mine, and a good mentor too.

Me and Michelle

It was my first time to be able to assist in a tv/film set. I have worked in print, bridal, fashions shows and event but have never experienced tv/film work. The location is a cozy home in Brentwood. I learned a lot and I am hoping to learn more in the future.

Key MUA Michelle gave me chance to work on the actress ;)

One funnyshot
Nice weather outside too.

There was pompoms in the set.. hahaha.
After  filming we got hungry and went straight to Seal Beach pier for some good food and drinks at The Hangout. Sunday is so much fun.

Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures. I forgot to bring a camera so I just used my iphone. ;)

Newspaper Nails

This is my first attempt doing this awesome idea. I maybe late trying this, but still why not right?

I painted my uber-short nails Winter Frost from Revlon. It's a mini-bottle in medium-gray color. I wanted something lighter but do not have any that does not consists of glitters and sparkles, plus I was lazy to mix my own so I used this one.

I can say this is a half-fail. I tried different methods here: 1) dipped a piece of newspaper in alcohol then pat onto my nails, 2) dipped my nails in alcohol then pat on a piece of newspaper, 3) dipped a piece, dipped my nail then pat the paper on. I think the second method worked best. That explains why this art is so uneven, because I kept on testing.

I did not bother redoing them. I figure I will take them off in few days anyways. Maybe soon I will try again and perfect them, and maybe in a summery colored base.

FOTN: Neon Pub Crawl

Me and hubby attended a Pub Crawl style birthday party last friday in Seal Beach. That friday I have posted my neon nails before I did this look. It's just a simple colorful look, ( yes ma'am I define this simple, LOL ) nothing shockingly uv or neon.

I used Inglot, Mac and Sugarpill. I apologize for a grainy picture, we were stepping out already when I took these pictures. We had so much fun last night, cannot wait for another one. :)

NOTWeekend: Sinful Colors Neon Melon

Hi Bellas! I will be attending a Pub Crawl Birthday party with a Neon theme tonight. I have a love-hate relationship with neons. Some days I find it so cool, some days it makes me look off. I painted on this neon polish I picked up at Walgreens. I think this should just be called Nails of the Weekend.

This one is called Neon Melon from Sinful Colors. I dunno why it's called melon, for me it's more of a lemon and lime. There are other colors available too. It's pretty cheap, only $1.99 a bottle. It took me 5 thin coats to achieve this, it's kinda burning my patience but it's okay since it fast-drying.
I shared this photo below on Instagram and got lotsa love. I usually DO NOT wake uo this early but today I was already at work at 7am. This neon did wake me up like sunshine straight to my face!

Tata ladies! Just finished my friends hair and makeup for her neon pub crawl tonight, so I better take a quick nap then off to do my makeup too! Will post pictures, of course!
