M.A.C. Pro Master Class Bridal Beauty with John Stapleton

Last Sunday, November 6th, I attended one of M.A.C. Pro's Master Classes. This one is Bridal Beauty with Senior Artist John Stapleton. It was held at Los Cerritos Shopping Center and run from 8pm-10pm.

I am very much interested in this class since it would be a good refresher for me, plus I get to see and learn the techniques a Senior M.A.C. artist uses to create magic on brides. John have worked in NY/LA/London Fashion Week, have done makeup for numerous celebrities, magazines, ads and much more. John's lecture and demo went on very smoothly and really educational. All questions from the participants were answered and given good explanation. He is down-to-earth you wouldn't be shy about asking questions.I really learned a lot.

After the class, I took the chance to introduce myself. We only had a short chat, since it was almost 11pm. And yes, we took pictures. Nobody was available that time (they're all busy shopping their bridal kit must-haves) so we took the honor of taking pics of ourselves.

here it is:

It was great meeting him. He and his work is such a wonderful inspiration. :)

Halloween Day: Dress-up and Make-up

I love October 31st for two main reasons:
1. Hubby and I are celebrating our 13th year together, and
2. I get to dress-up at work.

As many of you may know, I keep a normal full-time job, it keeps me sane. ;) My BFFs at work decide we dress up, and this is what I was:

It's been pretty hot all week long here in SoCal. I assumed fall season is on its way, but yeah, fall decided to wait. Oh okay.

PRINT: Aquadisiac loves Stars n Rockets

Holla!

Instead of naming my series LOOK, I am going to name it PRINT. I think it goes better with my blog title. :D

Here is a look I wore at a recent gig. I bet you can guess which one is it. Haha. I have been loving this combo of MAC Aquadisiac and Stars n Rockets that I have been wearing them all week!

I used Ingot Eyeshadow in 483 DS, a dark blue with sparkles on my eyelid, then MAC Aquadisiac on my crease extending above crease and MAC Stars n Rockets on my lower lashline.

What do you think? ;)

FOTD: Yes dear Violet, she smokes...

Yesterday morning seems to be a gloomy one for July. I have a photoshoot scheduled in the afternoon and I made it a habit to always have my own makeup done--or at least a well made-up set of eyes--  before heading to the shoot.

me and my cute goofy nephew, he is 3 years old and whenever somebody asks him what is his Auntie is doing he will say "makeup". LOL.

I'm wearing MAC Studio Fix Powder + Foundation and used MAC MSF in Dark for contour, underye concealed using MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW25 before powder foundation.

For my eyebrows I brushed in WnW Lip Pencil in Berry Red and filled in with Maybelline Eyebrow Powder in Dark Brown -. (It's okay, the red lip pencil did not complained at all, LOL)

After applying UDPP all-over my eyelid, I used Milani Color Brilliance Eye Pencil
in Purple as base color.  I used the 2 middle colors of the WnW Lust Palette, the matte
warm violet one on my lid and lower lashline, and the shimmery dark steel gray on my crease.
Eyes tightlined with Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner , and made a winged line
using Milani Eyetech Liquid Eye Liner.. Lashes curled and brushes
with MAC Zoomlash Mascara I also used Select Lash 747s.
Cheeks are happy with Smashbox Trio blush in Close-up.
I lined my lips with NYX Lip Pencil in Fushcia
and dabbed with Sally Hansen Lip Inflation clear gloss.

Do you like it? ;) Hope you do!

FOTD: Very Light & MAC Haul

Today I woke up early. I do not know where the energy is coming from but I am glad that I am not forcing myself to get outta bed. I hope for it to happen again.

I can soo feel summer here in Cali. It's beautiful outside. I have a lot in my To-Do List and I plan to finish them all. Yeba! So I made this very light so I do not have to retouch eyeliners. ;) I eyes tend to water when sun hits them directly. Its so simple and so wearable.

I used Inglot eyeshadows #362, #397, #419 over UDPP, lined with MAC Blacktrack fluidline, eyelashes curled then 2 coats of MAC Zoomlash.
I have mix of MAC Tippy & Gleeful on my cheeks, lined my lips with
NYX Lip Pencil in Mauve then painted with MAC Spiceflower.

and i happen to play with my pics (pic below)

We also went to the mall today to have my ring resized.  I tried hard to avoid Mac, but I heard he called me. I swear, LOL. So knowing myself, I gave in. Here's what I got.

Some are for my kit and some are for me.
I am lucky to be in Cali and work as MUA and get my discount on almost every brand, but one problem is getting the money to spend on makeup that I just WANT.
Hmmm... I might have to stick to my NEED List next time...
Hey I deserve this, right?  LOL.
