NOTW: Effie Trinket Nails

My Effie Trinket Nail Look

After watching Hunger Games last Friday night, I have been wanting to do either an Effie Trinket makeup look or nail art!

Guess I do not have much time but this should satisfy my Effie-Trinket-related-hunger for now. LOL. This is nail art she wore at The Reaping.

I did not buy anything new to make this, I just pulled out what I already have. Here are the products that I used:

RK in Snow White, Rimmel in Dazzle, RK in Rauro
I painted 2 thin coats of Ruby Kisses in Tauro, then used a makeup sponge to make a gold ombre effect with Rimmel 606 Dazzle. I topped it all off  with Ruby Kisses Snow White.

It's all so glittery and shiny! It took me few times to get a good picture because all the glitter and shine keep on flashing back.

I hope you like it! I am hoping to do an Effie makeup look soon. <3

Goodies from The Makeup Show LA

At last I found the time to take pictures of the stuff I got from The Makeup Show. It's not a haul, just basics for my kit, that's all. I stayed within my budget (uhmmm, yeah...) so I am not feeling bad that I purchased something I do not need.

goodies!

Here are close up pictures ;)

Graftobian Hi-Def Super Palette in Warm
MUFE HD in 117, 155, 177. They ran out of the other 3 I want but I can get them at the store on Robertson Blvd.

I also got some magazines, some catalogues (with makeup techniques articles) and some other informational stuff. I keep those for future references, maybe for pictures or see what other products I am missing.

Fun at The Makeup Show L.A.

I believe that a TRUE ARTIST can never learn enough. Education must be continuous.
I must keep on learning.

I was lucky to be able to attend The Makeup Show (previous post about it HERE) last Sunday. I had fun hanging out with my fellow Filipina MUA Michelle Arcilla, seeing famous people in the industry and to listen and learn their techniques (amazing!), meeting famous faces and making new friends. It was a wonderful experience.

Ready for pictures? Here we go :)

Me and my friend Michelle
Amy's friend Yume, me and Amy aka Shrinkle from Sugarpill.

We felt like a kid in a big candy store. Most (if not all) pro stores and products are there for attendees to see, test and take home! I did some shopping. Mostly basics for my kit and I MAYBE posting them if you guys wanna see.

If you wanna see more pictures you can check them out on my Facebook Fan Page (click HERE). :) I took pictures of the vendor's booths oozing with products. Gosh I want them all.

I ended the day with an Italian dinner date with my husband. He always have the ears to listen on my rants and raves about anything, yes including makeup. LOL.
